Monday mornings

My Monday morning always starts on Sunday night when I can't get to sleep because my head is full of plans for the week ahead. I suppose that is good - but I ought to try to relax more! Still - there was a Grand Prix yesterday and the cars always put me to sleep (and Lewis Hamilton wasn't doing as well as we hoped), so it was a relaxing afternoon!

On Monday mornings it isn't always easy to wake up at 6.30 am and get out to work. Finding clothes to wear is always a bind - and getting some lunch together. I always tell myself that I should get my clothes out and prepare my lunch on Sunday night to save trouble in the morning - that would be the organised thing to do. But I already spend far too much of Sunday worrying about Monday and I don't want to think about it any more than I have to!

So what makes Mondays palatable? Thinking about the little things...
  • A beautiful morning (haven't had a lot of those in the rainy season!).
  • Lots of worthwhile tasks to fit into the week ahead.
  • A new start, with a whole week ahead to get those jobs done that didn't make it into last week.
  • Loooking back on an enjoyable weekend.
  • Leaving the family safe and comfortable and organised for the week.
